Charities & Churches

A small rural church in Suffolk in a beautiful village where many people came on holiday wanted to reach out to the numerous visitors. They provided facilities for children, creches activities and house group. They are a welcoming church but received few visits from holiday makers.

Church websites a speciality at CambwebsThe building was modern and the notice board always attractive, but this made little difference as people would drive past without even stopping to give it a second look, may be thinking how could such a small church offer all the facilities they would need for their short visit?

Someone suggested that they should have a church website. Of course this was not an easy decision it had to be discussed and some folks were keener than others and after all budgets are tight and who could we get to build a website that would understand and appreciate our needs. Making a website that the whole congregation would be proud of ?

They decided to delegate a church leader to the task of finding someone to build the church website, although he was worried, as he did not understand much about websites and thought he would be lost in all the jargon!

He was recommended to speak to David from Cambwebs and his fears soon disappeared when he first spoke to him. No jargon – he seemed to understand what was needed – he was a really good listener. David came and visited the church and took some pictures and spoke about his Christian faith and how he started building websites when a christian charity needed someone to take it over.

The next task was to write some content for the site which was sent to David and a church website was born!

We then met David again so he could explain how to update the website (content management system). It was a lot easier than we thought and he was very patient in explaining things to us and said he would help out if we got stuck!

Now all our visitors can find out about us from the church website, and they would know that we are a really friendly church that welcomes families and young people!
